On August 13, 2026, I lost the love of my life and my absolute best friend, Charles Pruitt, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
We met when we were just 12 years old, and across 44 years of marriage, he remained my anchor and my favorite companion. Above all else, Charles lived for his family. He was an incredible husband, a devoted dad, and a proud grandpa who poured so much love into every role he held.
If you asked anyone to describe him, the answer was always the same: he was simply a really good man. His steady kindness, gentle heart, and quiet strength left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
In true fashion, he didn’t want a traditional memorial or a solemn service. Instead, he wanted us to gather over a nice catered meal, share stories, and celebrate the full, wonderful life he lived.
While our time together will never feel like enough, I am endlessly grateful for a lifetime of love and the legacy he leaves behind.
Rest easy, Charles. You will always be my best friend.
Love,
Tammy
